Education
Jill graduated from Texas A&M University - College Station with a B.S. in Recreational, Parks, and Tourism Sciences and an emphasis in youth development. Additionally, in 2019, she started a masters program for counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, which she is looking to start back up in the future, as she healthily navigates her responsibilities.
Experience
Jill got her start as a Camp Counselor for one summer at a camp in Colombus. She then spent five years as an elementary physical education teacher, with higher level administrative assistant opportunities. In that role, she also had the opportunity to coach the 7th grade girls soccer team for 1 season.
Following this experience, she has spent 5+ years in professional therapeutic relational and experiential therapeutic support. In recent years, Jill has been involved in co-pioneering and establishing therapeutic group camping experiences around the United States for young adults from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Mission
With a goal of being fully present as a nonjudgmental, curious listener and objective support as the individuals she works with navigate life’s difficulties, Jill hopes she can help clients break down fears and barriers. Through this she aims to make obstacles palpable, goals achievable, and help them develop their self-worth and spiritual self. Jill believes clients are uniquely valuable, important, and fully capable of overcoming difficult experiences. She love to work with clients to do this specifically through physical movement and therapeutic outdoor activities that get people away from technology and focused on the present moment. Ultimately, she looks to provide therapeutic support in their environment and be with clients in the moment.
