Education
Zach completed his undergrad degree at Carroll College, while competing on their cross country team. Later he decided to go back to school to earn his Master's in Social Work at Colorado State University, graduating in 2019.
Experience
Zach has been working in the field of mental health for the past 12 years. Over the years he has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. He’s learned how to connect with people of all different backgrounds through countless different roles within the mental health world. He’s worked in Montana, California, Texas, and Colorado. While working across these four states, he learned how to help individuals and families navigate some of the unexpected difficulties life can throw at you. He uses an energetic and relational approach to therapy.
As a clinician (LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker) who owns a private practice, Zach, creates opportunities to show up and be present in his community. While in Colorado, he has become a member of Boulder Psychological Services, where he continues to pursue a more enriched experience for himself and others. Before starting his private practice, Zach was a school counselor and a therapist at a residential boarding school, which reminded him of the importance of relationships.
Mission
Zach's goal is for everyone to feel seen and heard and to get to know the individual he’s working with. He wants to support them as they walk through dark times and strives for a better future for himself and everyone he engages with daily.
Hobbies & Personal Life
Zach loves to spend time with his wife, Mariah, and step-daughter in nature as they go for hikes, go running or biking, go fishing, and more. In his free time, he is actively training for an upcoming marathon. With a background in competing in Ironman races, it is easy to say, Zach thrives in cardiac endurance racing.
