Just like with any relationship, familial relationships aren't without the occasional struggle. If your family is facing a challenge or crisis, we are here to offer support through programs designed to provide comprehensive and focused support known as intensives. Whether you select an In-Home, Experiential, or Adventure Family Intensive, the goal is to strengthen your family unit, improve communication, and promote healthier relationships among your family members.
Family intensives are customized, experiential programs/interventions that can span 1-7 days, enabling individuals to make faster progress than the typical 50-minute weekly sessions. Our family psychologist gets to see how your family functions in real-time and space and help you make adjustments in the moment. This means a lot of ground can be covered in a short amount of time!
Intensives are tailored to your family’s specific needs. The typical home intensive is 3 days, yet it can vary from 1 to 7 days. Together we’ll decide how many days may work best for you, your teen, and your family.
Our family psychologist will come into your home and facilitate activities, exercises, and conversations that you all participate in together. We often include active activities in the community such as walking, hiking, or other activities your family enjoys or are willing to try.
Experiential Family Intensives take advantage of local activities in your area to get into deeper issues while having fun. Activities can range from hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, zip-lining, indoor skydiving, bowling, archery, trampolining, ceramics, and the arts.
We will explore your family’s interests and design a custom, meaningful experience.
Adventure Intensives are customized to your family and involve going into nature for 3-6 days. Being in nature allows your family to unplug, calm your nervous systems, be more present, engage in healthy activity, and have fun! The therapeutically designed activities and facilitated discussions enhance family understanding, problem-solving, and connection.
