Education
Kylie attended college at Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA, where she received her bachelor's in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. In order to learn more and help her clients more, she plans to pursue a master's degree in the near future.
Experience
Kylie's experience in helping families access the appropriate treatment has spanned over 10+ years.
She got her start on the marketing and business development side of the treatment field. During this time, Kylie held C-Level Executive positions and worked with every level of residential care, including eating disorders, acute psychiatric care, autistic adolescents, primary mental health for adolescents and adults, addiction, and trauma. Kylie also helped develop curriculum, aided in identifying staff for programs, worked with alumni, and supported aftercare resources. Her expanse of experience extends to the age groups she has helped as well, with past client ages ranging from 9-71.
Kylie went on to have a big impact in her community, helping to start the first behavioral health hospital in Dallas, which provided adult and geriatric services.
Raised in a household that placed a major importance on giving back, Kylie finds volunteering rewarding to this day. In the past, she has served as an event co-chair for a suicide prevention group, been a Rotary Club member, and helped run community fundraisers for nonprofits in order to raise money and/or awareness. Kylie currently volunteers for Team Lifeline, running support groups for middle and high school children at alternative schools in Texas. She is also a member of the Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA).
Mission
Kylie uses her passion for motherhood in her daily interactions with the families she serves. She knows that, as a parent herself, she may need assistance in the future from an expert, and she wants to be that person for other families now. Ultimately, Kylie views the main purpose of her current role as serving as an advocate for families, saving them a lot of time, effort, and financial resources through finding the right treatment and space for them. Through this, her goal is also to help heal generations of families from generational trauma and mental health concerns.
Hobbies & Personal Life
Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Kylie was raised by her father and her Jewish mother alongside her two sisters and her brother. Later in life, she also learned she had two half-brothers.
Kylie and her husband have been married for 18 of the 21 years they have been together. Having faced infertility, she is outspoken about what couples with fertility issues face and her journey to parenthood. Together, Kylie and her husband have 5 kids, ranging in age from 4 to 13. She also has 6 nieces and 4 nephews, so there is never a shortage of children around.
As an avid animal lover, Kylie has 2 rescue dogs and multiple rescue cats. She will take in any animal in need and especially loves horses. In fact, she rode English in the equestrian club during her time at Penn State.
In her spare time, she loves to travel to the beach, create abstract art, and watch documentaries related to mental health.
