Education
Kat Croft completed the Alcohol and Drug Counseling Educational Certificate through UCLA, gaining specialized education in substance use disorders, addiction, recovery, and the principles of effective counseling and support. Her education, combined with her professional and personal experience in the recovery field, has given her a strong understanding of the challenges individuals face throughout the recovery process, and the ways in which traditional treatment modalities often fall short.
Experience
Kat began her career in the behavioral health and addiction treatment field in 2015. After completing her Alcohol and Drug Counseling Educational Certificate through UCLA, Kat discovered that her passion within behavioral health extended beyond the traditional counseling setting. She felt particularly drawn to the outreach and relationship-building side of the field, where she could meet people where they are and help connect them with the support and resources needed to begin or continue their recovery journey.
Her years of experience across the treatment continuum, combined with her work in outreach, allow her to approach recovery coaching with both a comprehensive understanding of behavioral health and a genuine passion for helping women sustain recovery.
Mission
Kat found that one of her greatest strengths is building genuine connections with people and helping them feel seen, understood, and supported. Her passion for outreach has allowed her to develop meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and professionals while helping guide people toward appropriate treatment and resources. Some of her greatest joys in life have come from witnessing the success stories of people who have found lasting sobriety and gone on to build meaningful lives.
She brings this same philosophy to her work as a recovery coach - meeting each woman where she is in her journey and providing encouragement, accountability, and support as they navigate the path toward lasting recovery together.
Hobbies and Personal Life
Outside of her professional life, Kat and her husband are both in recovery and are all about fellowship. They love serving at their church and being actively involved in their recovery community, where they have made lifelong friends.
Kat and her husband recently welcomed a baby girl, who has brought even more joy to their family. Their household also includes their 8 pound Chiweenie, Ravioli, who runs the show.
In her free time, Kat enjoys going to the gym, trying new foods, and finding any excuse to enjoy a really good meal. Above all, she values time with her family and making the most of the life she has created in recovery.
